Lime-Lite
First of all I would like to accuse raZor of stealing my design. I mean, clearly I released mine first, and he heavily copied me. If you look at his design: LimeLight, he makes no reference to me. Burn him!
No, I stole (yes, you can burn me since I mentioned it) LimeLight made by raZor and made it more user friendly. Thanks to raZor for the original. raZor also redid the banner for my version. Unfortunately the banner is not quite wide enough, so the design breaks at 1600x resolution. Easy to fix if someone can find me a 1600 wide lime picture.
I find that my part looks kinda hideous, but as mentioned by raZor, the original could be a bit hard to read for some people. I have stuck the Citrus Galllery on the right, because text going too wide makes it harder to read (according to studies). IE needs to support the max-width thing, and then it could be made a lot better. Actually I read somewhere how to put a css hack to make IE do a max-width, but I forget where it was.
This is really for anyone to grab and put their own colors and such in.
Anyway, I like the changes on the header, menu and footer. And I was getting sick of all these fixed width designs too. Even though they all look wonderful, I thought it was time for a change.
Design Notes
- Completely free. I wouldn't mind a link to my OWD user profile, but you don't have to
- Stretches to fit browser window
- Tested and ok in IE5.5, IE6, Firefox.
- Resizable fonts. The navbar and gradient bars should nicely expand too.
- Can put a watermark on top of the background gradient (refer to css comment)
- Works perfectly from 800x600 to 1280x1024. 1600x needs a wider banner.
Font at 100%. Why? See: http://www.xs4all.nl/~sbpoley/webmatters/fontsize.html
Nam risus elit, vulputate non, scelerisque nec, viverra imperdiet, magna. Nullam non urna. Praesent lacus. Ut consequat pellentesque quasi architecto nunc aliquet fermentum ligula odio... <-- I think that is Latin. Weird. http://www.lipsum.com/ The Lorem Ipsum Generator.
Someone from OWD is going to help me out with design next time. I shall keep you in suspense until then...
Want to see a nice IE only feature? (I think that is what Microsoft would call it). Stick your font size on largest so that you have to scroll down enough for some of the Citrus Galery to be off the top of the page. Now scroll back up to the top. If you look closely at the dashed border, the left and right dashes are now joined to a solid line.. Cool! (or not)
Or is the above only me?
